About This Role
This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of journalism, live events, and the fast-evolving web3 ecosystem. As Associate, Partnerships, you'll help shape how leading blockchain brands, exchanges, and DeFi protocols connect with CoinDesk's global audience through our flagship events like Consensus. You'll gain front-row exposure to the commercial side of crypto media while building a network that spans the entire distributed ledger industry.
What You'll Be Doing
Support the end-to-end sales cycle for sponsorships across CoinDesk's media properties and live events
Build and nurture relationships with blockchain companies, crypto exchanges, DeFi platforms, and Web3 startups seeking brand visibility
Collaborate with internal teams—editorial, marketing, and event production—to craft compelling partnership packages
Research and identify prospective partners within the smart contracts, NFT, and distributed systems space
Assist in contract negotiations, proposal development, and account management for existing clients
Track partnership performance metrics and contribute to post-event reporting and renewal strategies
What We're Looking For
1-3 years of experience in partnerships, sales, business development, or account management
Genuine enthusiasm for blockchain, crypto, and the broader decentralized technology movement
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a consultative, relationship-first approach
Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple partnership pipelines simultaneously
Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment typical of the crypto industry
Based in the UK with flexibility to support European market needs
Bonus Points
Prior experience in media, events, or sponsorship sales within the fintech or crypto sector
Existing network within the blockchain, DeFi, or Web3 community
Familiarity with CRM tools and partnership tracking platforms
Understanding of tokenomics, smart contracts, or distributed ledger technology fundamentals
