About This Role
This is a mission-critical opportunity for a cyber-savvy investigator who understands how decentralized technologies are exploited by bad actors—and how to stop them. You'll work alongside elite cyber consulting teams, applying blockchain analytics and financial crime expertise to trace, disrupt, and build cases against sophisticated threat actors operating across crypto ecosystems and traditional financial rails.
What You'll Be Doing
Investigate cyber-enabled financial crimes involving cryptocurrency transactions, ransomware payments, and illicit blockchain activity
Apply advanced blockchain analytics tools to trace digital asset flows across wallets, exchanges, and smart contracts
Integrate cyber threat intelligence with financial forensics to build comprehensive investigative narratives
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support high-impact intelligence and law enforcement missions
Analyze patterns in decentralized finance (DeFi) platforms and distributed ledger ecosystems tied to illicit finance
Produce clear, actionable intelligence reports that translate complex blockchain data into investigative insights
What We're Looking For
Active Secret clearance (required)
Demonstrated experience analyzing cryptocurrency transactions, ransomware incidents, or cyber-enabled financial crime
Familiarity with blockchain analytics platforms used in tracing crypto-asset movement
Strong understanding of distributed ledger technology, smart contracts, and web3 financial infrastructure
Analytical mindset with the ability to synthesize financial, cyber, and blockchain data into coherent findings
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for briefing technical and non-technical stakeholders
Bonus Points
Experience with DeFi protocol investigations or decentralized exchange tracing
Background in financial intelligence, AML, or crypto compliance investigations
Certifications in blockchain forensics or cyber threat intelligence analysis
Prior experience supporting federal law enforcement or intelligence community investigations
