Events Strategist
About This Role
This is a rare opportunity to shape the in-person presence of a company protecting over $36 billion in total value locked across Solana, Sui, Near, and Aptos. You'll be the architect behind our events calendar, translating OtterSec's reputation as a trusted smart contract security firm into unforgettable real-world touchpoints with the decentralized tech ecosystem.
What You'll Be Doing
Plan and execute major blockchain industry conferences alongside smaller meetups, side events, and partner activations
Own and continuously refine the company's full event calendar and strategic roadmap
Serve as the central liaison between internal teams, sponsors, and external crypto industry partners
Negotiate sponsorships, speaking slots, and partnership opportunities at key web3 gatherings
Manage all logistics—travel, swag, registrations, materials—ensuring flawless execution every time
Evaluate conference invitations and market opportunities to prioritize high-ROI events
What We're Looking For
5+ years running event marketing, conferences, or partnerships for global tech or web3 companies
Proven ability to juggle multiple international events simultaneously with strong ownership and follow-through
Hands-on experience negotiating event contracts—room blocks, attrition clauses, F&B minimums, cutoff dates
Skilled at building complete event plans from a brief and budget, sourcing vendors that deliver value
Budget management expertise, including tracking spend and escalating tradeoffs proactively
Solid grasp of production and print specs—file formats, resolution, proofing, and timelines
Bonus Points
Familiarity with event-management and design tools like Luma, Canva, Figma, or Notion
Existing relationships with crypto conference organizers, venues, and production vendors
Experience engaging technical audiences through CTFs or developer-focused activations
