About This Role
This is a rare opportunity to be the technical cornerstone of a consumer-grade payments product built on blockchain rails. You'll work at the intersection of backend engineering and distributed ledger technology, translating complex smart contract interactions and wallet infrastructure into a seamless experience embedded directly inside conversations. What You'll Be Doing
Architect Ihsan Pay's core payment infrastructure from prototype through production-grade deployment
Build and integrate embedded self-custodial wallets (Privy, Turnkey, or similar) powering secure crypto custody
Implement stablecoin transfers and SPL token flows on Solana, including username/phone-to-wallet resolution
Design merchant APIs, QR-based payments, webhooks, and checkout systems that bridge web3 rails with everyday commerce
Build gas abstraction and sponsored-fee mechanisms so users never touch blockchain complexity directly
Integrate KYC/KYB (Sumsub), on/off-ramp providers (Transak, MoonPay, Paybis), and card issuance (Rain)
Establish reconciliation, transaction monitoring, and security review processes across the payment stack
What We're Looking For
Proven production backend experience in Go, TypeScript, or similar languages at scale
Hands-on experience building or integrating blockchain wallets, smart contracts, and transaction signing flows
Practical knowledge of Solana and SPL token standards within a decentralized ecosystem
Experience with payment APIs, idempotency, webhooks, and financial reconciliation systems
Deep understanding of private-key security, wallet recovery, and self-custodial architecture
Strong PostgreSQL skills and experience architecting scalable distributed systems
Independent decision-making ability and excellent technical documentation habits
Bonus Points
Experience with DeFi protocols, on/off-ramp integrations, or crypto card infrastructure
Familiarity with mobile-first fintech or messenger-embedded payment products
Background in regulatory/compliance-aware crypto applications
History mentoring engineers or founding technical teams
