Head of Multimedia for Financial Media
About This Role
This is a rare chance to build and lead a visual storytelling function at a newsroom already trusted across 50 countries and 26 languages. You'll sit at the intersection of blockchain journalism, market structure reporting, and cutting-edge video/design production—turning complex crypto and DeFi narratives into content that audiences actually want to watch. As an official media partner at Money20/20, Digital Assets Forum London, and Korea Blockchain Week, your work will be seen on some of the biggest stages in the distributed ledger industry.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead and grow a multimedia team producing video, motion graphics, and visual content covering blockchain, smart contracts, DeFi, and institutional finance
Translate dense crypto market structure and regulatory stories into engaging, shareable visual formats
Oversee on-the-ground multimedia coverage at major web3 conferences and industry events worldwide
Collaborate closely with journalists and analysts across time zones to align visual output with editorial strategy
Establish production standards, workflows, and style guides for a fast-moving digital assets newsroom
Mentor creatives and manage external contributors to scale multimedia output across 26 languages
What We're Looking For
Proven leadership experience in video, motion design, or multimedia production within media, finance, or tech
Strong grasp of blockchain, crypto, and decentralized finance concepts—or a demonstrated hunger to learn fast
A portfolio showing your ability to simplify complex financial or technical topics visually
Excellent project management skills across distributed, multi-timezone teams
Confident communicator comfortable pitching ideas to editorial and leadership stakeholders
Based in or able to work from South East London (Borough)
Bonus Points
Experience producing content around major crypto or fintech conferences
Familiarity with smart contracts, web3 platforms, or the broader distributed systems ecosystem
Multilingual production experience or exposure to international newsrooms
