    About This Role

    As our GRC lead, you will be instrumental in aligning security strategy with business objectives and evolving regulatory standards. You will drive critical risk assessments, compliance initiatives, and foster a robust security culture across an organization handling billions in digital assets.

    What You'll Be Doing

    Design and operate a scalable security program tailored to Kiln's growth, web3 operations, and regulatory landscape.

    Develop and maintain Kiln's security framework, including policies, standards, and processes.

    Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and objectives and key results (OKRs) related to security, presenting posture to leadership.

    Lead all risk management activities, encompassing enterprise, vendor, and emerging threat assessments.

    Maintain the risk register and prepare for audits such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001.

    Build and manage the vendor security program, covering due diligence, monitoring, and contractual controls.

    Oversee third-party incident coordination and mitigation efforts.

    Promote a security-first culture through ongoing training and awareness programs.

    Manage incident response planning, execution, and lead post-incident reviews for continuous improvement.

    Establish compliance monitoring programs to ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.

    Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure continuous adherence to cybersecurity standards.

    What We're Looking For

    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or Information Security.

    8+ years of experience in information security, with significant GRC experience in regulated or high-growth environments.

    Demonstrated track record of building and scaling security programs.

    In-depth knowledge of ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, and various risk management frameworks.

    Experience with third-party risk management, cloud/infrastructure security, and compliance metrics.

    Bonus Points

    Background in blockchain, digital assets, or fintech.

    Familiarity with web3 infrastructure, smart contracts, and DevSecOps practices.

    Knowledge of compliance platforms (e.g., Vanta, Drata).

    Relevant certifications such as CRISC, CISM, CISSP, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer.
