About This Role
As the 2026 OTC Trading Platform of the Year, Reactive builds trading systems at the bleeding edge of performance and reliability. This role sits at the intersection of engineering discipline and operational excellence — you'll be the first line of defense for live trading systems spanning traditional and crypto-adjacent asset classes, working within a globally distributed, follow-the-sun operations team across UK, US, and Singapore hubs.
What You'll Be Doing
Monitor live trading systems in real time across multiple regions, venues, and asset classes — acting as the eyes on the platform during your trading session
Own Level 1 and Level 2 incident response: triage alerts, execute runbook actions like rollback and failover, investigate root causes, and escalate to Engineering only when deep infrastructure or code-level intervention is required
Deliver the production-change pipeline that onboards new clients, liquidity providers, and venues — configuring FIX sessions, cross-rates, subscriptions, and certificate rotations
Drive blameless post-incident reviews, converting every incident into improved tooling or documented runbooks
Participate in disaster-recovery rehearsals and failover readiness testing
Support platform migrations, decommissioning, and broader infrastructure evolution as the production estate scales
What We're Looking For
Hands-on experience in trading or FinTech operations, ideally supporting distributed, high-availability systems
Strong technical troubleshooting instincts — comfortable diagnosing issues across networking, configuration, and application layers
Familiarity with production change management, including schema updates, access control coordination, and post-release verification
Clear, disciplined communicator who documents thoroughly and takes ownership under pressure
Comfort working in a fast-paced, small-team environment where you wear multiple hats
Bonus Points
Exposure to blockchain, web3, or decentralized trading infrastructure
Understanding of smart contracts, DeFi protocols, or crypto settlement workflows
Experience with FIX protocol, RFQ systems, or algo trading configuration
Interest in AI-assisted tooling and knowledge engineering for operations
