About This Role

What You'll Be Doing
Architect and optimize low-latency Rust systems designed to handle massive concurrent transaction loads across distributed ledger environments
Build and refine core infrastructure components that support smart contracts, DeFi protocols, and blockchain-adjacent data pipelines
Profile, benchmark, and eliminate performance bottlenecks at the microsecond level across complex distributed workloads
Collaborate closely with systems architects and protocol engineers to design resilient, high-availability infrastructure
Contribute to technical decisions shaping the next generation of web3 transaction processing systems
Mentor fellow engineers on performance-first Rust development practices
What We're Looking For
Deep, hands-on expertise in Rust, with a proven track record building production-grade, low-latency systems
Strong understanding of distributed systems design, concurrency models, and memory-efficient architecture
Experience working with high-throughput, real-time data processing at scale
Familiarity with blockchain infrastructure, crypto transaction flows, or decentralized network design
Excellent problem-solving instincts and comfort operating in a fast-paced, lean engineering environment
Strong communication skills for remote, cross-functional collaboration
Bonus Points
Experience contributing to or building smart contract tooling, DeFi protocols, or layer-1/layer-2 infrastructure
Background in systems programming (C++, C) alongside Rust
Exposure to consensus mechanisms, validator infrastructure, or node software
Open-source contributions within the blockchain or distributed systems community
