Senior Staff Software Engineer, Backend (Platform - Asset Data)
About This Role
This is a high-impact role within the Platform Product Group, focusing on building a trusted, scalable, and compliant foundation for Coinbase. You'll be part of the Asset Data Platform team, responsible for all blockchain data, from ingestion to serving real-time asset and historical data to millions of users.
What You'll Be Doing
Design and implement next-generation crypto data systems that power Coinbase's core functionalities.
Interact with stakeholders across various organizations responsible for Coinbase products and financial operations.
Participate in shaping the strategy and execution path of the Asset Data team.
Manage individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables using your technical expertise.
Mentor and train other team members on design techniques and coding standards.
Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet the needs of your customers.
What We're Looking For
10+ years of experience in backend software engineering using Golang or similar languages.
Experience in architecting and developing solutions for ambiguous problems with significant impact.
Strong technical knowledge of building distributed systems that process massive scale data.
Proven ability to lead complex, cross-organizational initiatives and drive architectural cohesion.
Solid communication skills, capable of interacting with stakeholders across technical and non-technical backgrounds.
