"What You'll Be Doing"
About This Role
We're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to join our Core team and help drive infrastructure best practices across the organization, enabling us to securely scale a distributed financial platform used by millions of people every day.
What You'll Be Doing
Play a critical role in evolving our infrastructure as we solve complex technical problems around reliability, latency, bandwidth, and—most importantly—security.
Help improve observability, monitoring, and alerting across the platform.
Coordinate work across different areas of the company to ensure the most efficient path of execution.
Centralize common streams of work that are currently duplicated across developer teams.
Build tooling to replace manual, repetitive work in a scalable way.
Work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment alongside an experienced team.
What We're Looking For
Experience with containerization and service orchestration, including best practices and security considerations.
Strong knowledge of at least one programming language.
Experience with Linux, including an understanding of resource allocation, networking, and/or internals.
Experience working with cloud solutions (GCP or AWS).
Deep, demonstrable experience with modern monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Datadog, Grafana, and Telegraf.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools.
A solid background with configuration management tools.
Experience using GitOps and CI to manage changes.
Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka.
Experience with database management.
Bonus Points
Experience with Hashicorp Nomad, Consul, and Vault.
Experience with Golang, Python, and Bash.
Experience with complex Terraform deployments.
Experience with Saltstack.
Experience using Github Actions for CI.
Experience working in data centers.
Knowledge of routing and switching protocols.
