About This Role
This is an exciting opportunity to own and grow Base's social media footprint in Africa. You'll be instrumental in localizing global campaigns, engaging with regional communities, and translating market insights into impactful content, contributing to Base's mission of building the future of onchain.
What You'll Be Doing
Own Base’s social media presence in Africa across X, Telegram, Instagram, TikTok, and emerging platforms.
Execute regional content strategies tailored to diverse African audiences.
Localize global campaigns, ensuring cultural relevance and brand consistency through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
Grow and engage the regional community by connecting with builders, creators, and traders.
Monitor sentiment and trends in regional crypto markets and communities, transforming insights into actionable content and campaigns.
Create and direct compelling content, adapting it for multiple social platforms.
What We're Looking For
Deep immersion in crypto culture, with daily activity and a strong understanding of onchain trends.
3+ years of experience in social media management, ideally within crypto, tech, or Web3 startups.
Additional experience in growth marketing, content creation, or community-led growth.
Proven experience growing or managing crypto communities in Africa, with existing relationships with builders, creators, and KOLs being a plus.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and with personality, adjusting tone for different audiences.
