"About The Role"
About This Role
As our Systems Administrator for Government Deployments, you'll be the technical backbone sustaining blockchain intelligence platforms deployed in highly secure, classified networks. This isn't about building new architectures from scratch—it's about mastering the operational excellence of production systems that power real-world investigations into crypto-enabled crime, DeFi exploitation, and transnational threats. You'll work at the intersection of distributed systems engineering and national security, directly impacting how intelligence professionals leverage blockchain data.
What You'll Be Doing
Administer and optimize Linux and Windows environments across C2S/AWS and other approved government cloud infrastructures, provisioning IaaS resources (EC2, VPC, RDS, S3)
Lead patching, upgrades, and software release deployments for blockchain analytics platforms, ensuring zero-disruption to mission operations
Harden systems against vulnerabilities per RMF and STIG requirements, configuring firewalls, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protections to safeguard sensitive data pipelines
Configure and troubleshoot network infrastructure (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN) enabling secure, authorized data transfer between Chainalysis systems and customer networks
Build and validate backup, recovery, and disaster resilience procedures to guarantee uninterrupted access to critical blockchain intelligence tools
Partner with customer stakeholders and internal Product, Engineering, and Security teams to resolve field issues and improve platform reliability
What We're Looking For
Proven experience administering Linux/Windows systems within classified or highly regulated enterprise environments
Hands-on expertise with AWS/C2S infrastructure, virtualization platforms (VMware, OpenShift), and application stacks (Apache, PostgreSQL, WebLogic)
Strong understanding of network engineering fundamentals and security compliance frameworks (RMF, STIG)
Demonstrated ability to manage production systems supporting mission-critical, data-sensitive applications
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with government stakeholders and cross-functional technical teams
Active TS/SCI clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph (required)
Bonus Points
Familiarity with blockchain, cryptocurrency, or distributed ledger technologies
Experience supporting smart contract-based or decentralized data platforms
Background in intelligence community operations or law enforcement technology deployments
Scripting/automation skills (Python, Bash) for infrastructure management
Why Join Us
Competitive compensation reflecting the specialized nature of classified blockchain intelligence work
Direct, tangible impact on national security and the fight against crypto-enabled crime
Collaborative culture working alongside top blockchain engineers, security experts, and government partners
Front-row access to the fast-evolving world of web3, DeFi, and blockchain forensics—with continuous learning opportunities
