What You'll Be Doing
Craft and defend a sharp, global narrative for Solana centered on a few core, defensible truths about the network
Build direct, lasting relationships with top-tier media across crypto, tech, and traditional finance
Lead issues and incident response across smart contract exploits, validator disputes, and network hiccups—owning the process from severity triage to public statement
Advise Foundation leadership on executive communications and positioning, pushing back when the narrative needs correction
Cultivate a network of independent, credible voices in the web3 space who can authentically champion Solana
Translate complex protocol and governance updates into clear messaging for both technical insiders and mainstream audiences
What We're Looking For
Deep understanding of blockchain, DeFi, and decentralized network dynamics—technical fluency is non-negotiable
Proven experience managing communications during high-pressure moments in fast-moving, public-facing industries
Established relationships with tier-one journalists covering crypto, fintech, and emerging technology
Strong judgment and the confidence to say no to messaging that dilutes credibility
Ability to operate as both strategist and executor—writing the statement and designing the system behind it
Comfort with ambiguity and decentralized decision-making, since no single entity controls the Solana network
Bonus Points
Prior experience communicating for a layer-1 blockchain, DeFi protocol, or major crypto foundation
Familiarity with validator ecosystems, staking mechanics, and on-chain governance
Track record building communications infrastructure from scratch for a lean, fast-moving team
