Backend/Microservices Engineer
About This Role
This is a high-impact engineering position at the intersection of traditional enterprise architecture and decentralized innovation. You'll design the critical infrastructure that allows on-chain and off-chain systems to communicate flawlessly, giving you a rare opportunity to shape how blockchain technology integrates into large-scale enterprise operations.
What You'll Be Doing
Architect and build scalable, fault-tolerant microservices that serve as the connective tissue between blockchain networks and enterprise platforms
Develop robust APIs and services for transaction orchestration, data reconciliation, and real-time event processing
Design secure communication patterns between smart contracts and off-chain enterprise applications
Collaborate cross-functionally with architecture, product, and integration teams to deliver production-grade distributed systems
Implement monitoring, logging, and resilience patterns to ensure high availability of blockchain-connected services
Optimize service performance to handle high-throughput transaction volumes across decentralized and centralized systems
What We're Looking For
Proven experience building microservices architectures in production environments
Strong backend engineering skills (Java, Node.js, Go, or similar) with a track record of scalable system design
Familiarity with blockchain fundamentals, including distributed ledger concepts and smart contract interactions
Experience integrating complex enterprise systems with modern APIs and messaging queues
Solid understanding of database design, caching strategies, and asynchronous processing
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across engineering and product disciplines
Bonus Points
Hands-on experience with DeFi protocols or crypto transaction systems
Familiarity with Ethereum, Hyperledger, or other blockchain frameworks
Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ) in distributed systems
Background in enterprise integration patterns connecting legacy systems with decentralized applications
