This is a rare opportunity to sit at the intersection of people strategy and technical transformation, embedded directly within the R&D organization that builds our blockchain intelligence products. You'll partner with a newly appointed Head of R&D to reshape how engineering, research, product, design, and support teams operate as Chainalysis moves toward agent-powered, AI-native development. What You'll Be Doing
Act as the strategic people partner to R&D senior leadership, translating business transformation into actionable talent and organizational strategy
Lead org design and change management as teams evolve their operating models—balancing velocity, ownership, and cross-functional collaboration across platform engineering, data science, and research
Drive AI-era workforce transformation, reshaping career frameworks and leveling to reflect AI-augmented development and greater individual ownership
Own workforce planning and succession strategy for specialized technical talent in blockchain, cryptography, security, and data science across NYC, Aarhus, and Tel Aviv hubs
Partner with Finance and R&D leadership to align headcount decisions with growth goals and cost discipline
Coach senior technical leaders through performance, team effectiveness, and employee relations challenges—holding the bar high as the organization scales
What We're Looking For
10+ years of HR business partner experience, including senior-level partnership with engineering or R&D leadership
Proven track record leading organizational design and change management through periods of significant technical transformation
Deep understanding of how to build talent strategies for specialized, high-demand technical disciplines
Strong executive presence with the ability to coach and challenge senior leaders using both data and empathy
Experience navigating global, multi-hub technical organizations
Comfort operating in ambiguity while building scalable, durable people infrastructure
Bonus Points
Experience supporting teams building blockchain, distributed ledger, or decentralized infrastructure products
Familiarity with AI-native engineering practices and how they reshape team structures and productivity models
Background partnering with crypto, fintech, or security-focused technology organizations
Experience designing technical career frameworks for engineering and research functions
