Chainalysis is transforming from siloed infrastructure ownership into a consolidated, scalable platform model built to support rapid growth across the decentralized economy. You'll lead roughly six platform engineers responsible for the developer experience layer—delivery pipelines, tooling, and the safe integration of AI-assisted development into production systems that touch blockchain data at scale. This is a high-leverage leadership opportunity for a former IC who thrives on driving technical and organizational change.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead and grow a distributed team of platform engineers, hiring strategically to match our scaling needs
Own the roadmap for our Software Delivery Lifecycle, balancing near-term developer pain points with long-term platform investments
Partner closely with engineering leads across the org to drive adoption of standardized, platform-managed pipelines
Define and track key delivery metrics (DORA and similar) to improve deployment frequency and release confidence
Set the strategy for AI-assisted development, establishing quality gates and guardrails for AI-generated code in production
Participate in an incident-commander rotation, ensuring operational resilience and a sustainable on-call workload
What We're Looking For
Proven experience managing DevX, Platform, or Infrastructure teams serving internal engineering customers
Strong hands-on software engineering background prior to transitioning into management
Track record of attracting, developing, and retaining high-performing technical talent
Experience using DORA metrics or comparable frameworks to measure and improve delivery outcomes
Excellent cross-functional communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority
Bonus Points
Solid grasp of cloud-native architecture and its trade-offs
Hands-on exposure to modern CI/CD and GitOps patterns (Argo, Flux, or similar)
Curiosity about the security and quality implications of AI-generated code
Experience leading distributed teams across multiple time zones
