About This Role
Fidelity Digital Asset Management (FDAM) sits at the intersection of traditional investment discipline and crypto-native innovation, designing products that connect legacy markets with blockchain-based markets. As Head of Digital Asset Operating Platform, you'll own the operational architecture powering our digital asset strategies—from smart contracts integration to DeFi-adjacent workflows—ensuring institutional clients get seamless, secure access to this emerging asset class.
What You'll Be Doing
Architect and scale the operating platform supporting blockchain-enabled investment products and digital asset custody workflows
Partner with engineering, compliance, and investment teams to translate crypto market infrastructure needs into operational reality
Lead evaluation and integration of distributed ledger technologies, smart contract protocols, and DeFi primitives into Fidelity's institutional offerings
Establish governance frameworks and operational controls appropriate for regulated digital asset management
Drive vendor and partner selection across custody, trading, and blockchain infrastructure providers
Mentor and build a high-performing team focused on digital asset operations excellence
What We're Looking For
10+ years in financial services operations, with direct exposure to crypto, blockchain, or digital asset platforms
Deep understanding of distributed ledger technology, smart contracts, and decentralized finance mechanics
Proven track record leading operational teams in highly regulated, high-stakes environments
Strong grasp of institutional trading, custody, and settlement processes for digital assets
Exceptional stakeholder management skills across technology, compliance, and investment functions
Strategic mindset with ability to translate emerging web3 trends into scalable operational frameworks
Bonus Points
Experience with tokenization platforms or digital asset custody solutions
Familiarity with DeFi protocols, staking infrastructure, or blockchain interoperability solutions
Background in traditional asset management combined with crypto-native experience
Existing relationships within the blockchain and institutional crypto ecosystem
