What You'll Be Doing
Architect end-to-end product experiences that simplify complex blockchain interactions for both crypto natives and newcomers
Lead design strategy across core MetaMask surfaces, ensuring consistency across wallet, swaps, staking, and emerging Open Money features
Partner closely with engineering, product, and research teams to translate decentralized finance concepts into elegant, accessible interfaces
Mentor and uplevel a team of product designers, setting the bar for craft and systems thinking
Drive design decisions grounded in user research, data, and a deep understanding of the self-custodial crypto landscape
Champion design excellence that scales across millions of users transacting in a trustless, permissionless ecosystem
What We're Looking For
7+ years of product design experience, with a portfolio showcasing complex, consumer-facing applications at scale
Proven track record leading design for fintech, crypto, or other high-trust, high-complexity products
Deep fluency in interaction design, visual systems, and end-to-end user journeys
Strong communication skills and comfort presenting design rationale to cross-functional stakeholders and leadership
Experience building and maintaining scalable design systems
A genuine passion for distributed systems, decentralization, and reshaping how people interact with money
Bonus Points
Prior experience designing for crypto wallets, DeFi protocols, or blockchain-based applications
Familiarity with Ethereum, Layer 2 networks, or multi-chain ecosystems
Background in designing for self-custody, security-critical, or privacy-focused products
Experience working within open-source or decentralized organizations
