What You'll Be Doing
Own the product roadmap for one or more risk domains—such as account takeover prevention, scam detection, or payment fraud—defining vision, priorities, and success metrics that reduce customer losses and improve detection accuracy
Drive cross-functional execution with Engineering, Data Science, and Design, shipping risk products from concept through launch and balancing trade-offs between speed, coverage, and user experience
Partner with Risk Analytics and ML teams to turn fraud signals, model outputs, and emerging threat patterns into concrete product requirements and control strategies
Lead experimentation and measurement of risk interventions, using data to quantify impact on fraud rates, false positive rates, and customer friction
Shape long-term risk product strategy by analyzing industry trends, regulatory shifts, and crypto-specific threat vectors to keep Coinbase ahead of adversaries
What We're Looking For
7+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years focused on risk, fraud, trust and safety, or payments within consumer fintech or e-commerce
A track record of shipping risk or fraud products that measurably reduced loss rates, improved detection precision, or scaled risk controls across multiple product surfaces
Strong fluency in data-driven decision-making, including defining metrics, running experiments, and interpreting ML model performance to guide product direction
Experience partnering with engineering and data science teams to build and iterate on real-time risk systems, rules engines, or ML-powered detection pipelines
Demonstrated ability to communicate complex risk trade-offs to senior leadership, translating technical fraud concepts into clear business impact narratives
Responsible use of generative AI, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality
Salary Range
USD 207,485 - 244,100 per year
