"What You'll Be Doing"
About This Role
This role owns the two protocol workstreams that will determine how far this goes. The first is token standards: growing MPTs from a fund token into a complete issuance framework for institutions, covering asset restrictions, corporate events and programmable behavior, so that future asset classes like commercial paper, commodities, bonds and equities can be issued, held and mobilized natively on a public ledger. The second is privacy: Confidential MPT brings capital-markets-grade confidentiality to a public chain, and you will be responsible for taking it from initial rollout to enterprise-wide adoption, including tracking emerging technologies and industry trends and working with custodians and wallets on vaults and payments.
What You'll Be Doing
Lead the tokenization roadmap for XRPL, covering MPT evolution, transfer controls, corporate actions and programmable tokens, deciding what belongs in the protocol versus above it.
Lead the privacy roadmap, taking Confidential MPTs from mainnet launch to institutional scale, including key rotation and recovery, performance targets and confidential vaults.
Generate new feature specifications and build consensus around them, working with Ripple engineering, XRPL validators and open-source contributors to move proposals from concept to amendment.
Set requirements and priorities for each new asset class and shape the go-to-market strategy for bringing capital markets participants onto XRPL.
Work with hardware wallets, custodians and issuer platforms to make new primitives usable so institutions can adopt them from day one.
Scope the compliance capabilities that regulated issuers need to meet their obligations on XRPL.
Partner with developer growth and documentation teams so institutions can originate assets on XRPL without a Ripple engineer involved.
Define the metrics that demonstrate progress, such as XRPL's share of tokenized assets, issuance volume and ecosystem integrations.
What We're Looking For
Typically six or more years of experience as a product manager shipping technical platform or protocol products, with a record of taking complex things from idea to adoption.
Comfort with protocol-level design, including the ability to work through ledger internals, token standards and cryptography-adjacent questions such as confidential transactions and key management alongside engineers, along with a willingness to learn unfamiliar areas.
Clear writing skills for specifications, requirements and positioning that align engineers, partners and executives.
A collaborative working style, with the ability to build alignment across distributed teams and partners and to shape the roadmap when answers are not yet known.
Bonus Points
Capital markets experience, including funds, issuance, collateral and settlement workflows, or familiarity with the regulatory considerations institutional issuers work with.
Experience with open-source, standards or community governance processes.
Salary Range
USD 180,000 - 225,000 per year
