"What You'll Be Doing"
About This Role
As a Senior Security Engineer, Infrastructure, you'll help secure and operate the cloud and Kubernetes environments supporting Chainalysis products and the Hosted AI Platform (HAIP). The role blends production operations with hands-on security engineering: responding to platform alerts, troubleshooting infrastructure, and shipping guardrails and improvements through Terraform and Kubernetes. You'll work closely with Infrastructure Security, Platform Engineering, AI Core, and other engineering teams to address risks at their source and make secure, reliable infrastructure easier to operate. This is a hands-on engineering position suited to someone comfortable working in a terminal, with experience supporting production systems and taking infrastructure issues from investigation through resolution.
What You'll Be Doing
Troubleshoot Kubernetes workloads and cloud services, investigating pod health, logs, errors, latency, and upstream provider issues to identify root causes.
Ship reviewed Terraform and Kubernetes changes that strengthen the security and reliability of HAIP and broader cloud infrastructure.
Improve AWS and edge/network controls, including IAM, networking, secrets, encryption, logging, and Cloudflare, and reduce recurring misconfigurations by building reusable patterns and runbooks.
Use Python or similar scripting, along with monitoring improvements and cross-team collaboration, to automate operational work and drive fixes through to completion.
Participate in the AI Product on-call rotation, triaging production alerts, communicating clearly, and escalating issues when needed.
What We're Looking For
Production cloud infrastructure experience, preferably in AWS, along with working knowledge of security controls such as IAM, networking, secrets, encryption, or logging.
Hands-on production Kubernetes experience, including the ability to inspect workloads, read logs, and troubleshoot failures using command-line tools.
Experience authoring Terraform changes that have been reviewed and deployed to production, with comfort shipping changes through Git and pull requests.
Production on-call or incident-response experience, including alert investigation, clear communication, and sound escalation judgment.
Python or similar scripting ability, with familiarity using monitoring and logging tools.
Experience working with stakeholders across an R&D organization to collaborate and resolve security issues with urgency and a team-first approach.
Bonus Points
Experience operating AI/ML infrastructure, LLM platforms, or services integrating with model providers, including familiarity with AI gateway concepts such as model routing or quotas.
Experience with Cloudflare or other edge/network security controls.
Exposure to cloud security posture management tools such as Wiz, Prisma Cloud, or Orca.
Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD or Flux.
Familiarity with blockchain, crypto, fintech, or regtech infrastructure.
