Platform Engineering is the backbone enabling every team at Chainalysis to ship faster and safer, consolidating fragmented infrastructure into shared, self-service platform patterns. The Foundation discipline specifically owns the deepest layer: cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, streaming systems, networking, and security primitives that every blockchain-facing service depends on. What You'll Be Doing
Architect and maintain multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) via Terraform, building reusable modules that scale across teams tracking decentralized networks and crypto transactions
Operate multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters (EKS) serving the whole engineering org — managing upgrades, security posture, and networking that underpins our blockchain data pipelines
Lead the operational migration of streaming infrastructure from managed Kafka to WarpStream, building tooling that keeps distributed data flowing reliably
Build Go-based reconcilers and platform tooling against the Kubernetes API, powering self-service primitives engineering teams use to declare infrastructure needs
Design foundational networking and IAM security layers — transit gateways, interconnects, ingress, IRSA — so teams building smart contracts and DeFi analytics tools never think twice about plumbing
Drive on-call excellence, turning every incident into permanent automation that prevents recurrence
What We're Looking For
3+ years building and operating real-world infrastructure, not just certifications
Hands-on AWS experience (EC2, EKS, IAM, S3, VPC) at production scale
Proven Kubernetes operations experience beyond local clusters
Strong Terraform/IaC skills (Pulumi or CloudFormation also welcome)
Proficiency in Go, Python, or shell scripting — Go preferred for our reconciler ecosystem
Comfort with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Argo, Jenkins) and on-call accountability for production systems
Bonus Points
Experience building Kubernetes operators, CRDs, or controller-runtime based systems
Familiarity with event-streaming infrastructure (Kafka, WarpStream) or deep networking expertise
Background in regulated, compliance-driven environments (SOC 2, ISO-27001)
