Software Engineer II, Gov Systems
About This Role
Join the Government Systems team within our Investigations group, where you'll own the full journey from "code shipped" to "software running securely on a customer's isolated network." This is a rare opportunity to work deep in the stack—spanning Go, Java, and React—while solving unique distributed systems challenges tied to air-gapped deployment, multi-tenancy, and FedRAMP-grade security for blockchain forensics software.
What You'll Be Doing
Architect a Go-based CLI installer that automates provisioning, manifest rendering, and end-to-end deployment of Reactor across disconnected, high-security networks
Build and maintain Java-based data delivery pipelines that package and transport blockchain data into on-premises, air-gapped systems
Extend a React/Node.js Admin Portal giving customers control over user roles, permissions, and real-time system health monitoring
Develop Terraform-based infrastructure as code to manage AWS environments supporting development, testing, and secure data delivery
Partner cross-functionally with product engineering, Security, and Compliance teams to integrate applications into the on-prem deployment platform and design secure tenant isolation
Embed FedRAMP-aligned practices—audit logging, RBAC, package signing, and hardening—into every layer of the platform, backed by rigorous testing and CI pipelines
What We're Looking For
Strong hands-on experience with Java, JavaScript, Go, and Bash for building production-grade services and CLI tooling
Solid command of Kubernetes—deployments, networking, storage, Helm charts, and production troubleshooting
Comfort working across the full stack, from systems-level infrastructure to UI development
Experience designing for constrained, on-premises, or disconnected environments
A collaborative mindset for working with product, security, and compliance stakeholders on complex distributed systems
U.S. citizenship (required due to government contract regulations)
Bonus Points
Prior experience with FedRAMP or other government compliance frameworks
Background in blockchain, crypto, or Web3 infrastructure
Familiarity with smart contracts, decentralized data pipelines, or distributed ledger technologies
Experience building installer tooling or infrastructure automation at scale
Why Join Us
Work at the frontier of blockchain intelligence, helping secure the future of the decentralized economy
Fully remote flexibility with a globally distributed, highly skilled engineering team
Direct impact on national security and high-profile criminal investigations involving cryptocurrency
Continuous growth through exposure to cutting-edge distributed systems, DeFi-adjacent data pipelines, and government-grade security engineering
