Protocol Strategist
About This Role
This is a high-impact opportunity where you'll own critical client relationships, deliver strategic risk intelligence, and lead a pod of analysts and quantitative researchers. You'll be instrumental in preventing crises and guiding complex decisions for our clients.
What You'll Be Doing
Own client relationships, delivering risk work, leading calls, and driving strategic decisions.
Set priorities for your pod, timeboxing requests and ensuring timely delivery of decision-ready work.
Triage incidents and Slack requests, responding quickly and communicating clearly with clients.
Persuade on high-stakes changes with clear reasoning and quantified impact.
QA dashboards, validate assumptions, and elevate the quality of team output.
Partner with analysts on SQL and data, and with quants on models, to deliver high-impact insights.
What We're Looking For
5+ years in DeFi with deep, hands-on knowledge of lending protocols (Aave, Compound, Morpho, Euler, Spark).
Track record of client-facing work where you owned outcomes (product, risk, research, advisory, or governance).
Strong technical writing skills: crisp memos, deep dives, and thesis building.
Enough SQL or Python to scope work, QA dashboards, and validate analyst output.
Commercial judgment to balance safety, growth, and revenue when advising clients.
Bonus Points
Experience working at a lending protocol, risk consultancy, or in protocol governance.
Background in quantitative risk, treasury management, or market-making.
Deep knowledge of oracle design, liquidations, and economics.
Experience in war rooms during crashes or exploits.
Higher education in a quantitative field (Math, Economics, Statistics, CS).
