Senior Frontend Infrastructure Engineer
About This Role
Uniswap Labs builds the tools that make DeFi accessible — the Uniswap Web App, Wallet, Trading API, and Unichain — alongside a protocol that has settled over $2.9 trillion in onchain volume. Our Apps Infra team is the horizontal backbone every product squad builds on: design systems, data layers, release pipelines, and shared UI services. We're hunting for a senior engineer equally comfortable architecting a migration, shipping an AI-powered internal tool, or polishing a pixel-perfect component — someone who treats developer experience as a craft and product quality as non-negotiable.
What You'll Be Doing
Own and evolve shared frontend infrastructure — design systems, component libraries, and data-fetching layers (React Query) spanning web and mobile
Partner directly with product and design engineering teams to stay close to the actual user experience within our decentralized apps
Build AI-powered internal tooling — LLM-driven CLI utilities, changelog generators, and automation workflows that accelerate the entire engineering org
Lead large-scale technical migrations (e.g., Tamagui → Tailwind), setting the tooling direction other teams follow
Strengthen release automation, CI/CD pipelines, and QA tooling to boost reliability and shipping velocity
Drive performance improvements across our app suite and maintain backend-for-frontend services supporting multiple product teams
Mentor engineers through code review, documentation, and by establishing best practices from scratch
What We're Looking For
5+ years of software engineering experience, with deep fluency in React and React Native across shared web/mobile codebases
A proven track record building developer tooling, design systems, or platform infrastructure with strong product instincts
Well-formed opinions on frontend architecture, styling systems, and build tooling — backed by real experience
History of owning ambiguous, large-scope projects end-to-end with minimal oversight
Comfort with CI/CD, release engineering, and test automation
Genuine excitement for AI-assisted development and exploring what's newly possible with LLM tooling
Bonus Points
Open source contributions to wagmi, viem, Next.js, React Router, TanStack, or similar web3/frontend ecosystems
Experience building LLM-powered developer tools or internal automations
Swift/Kotlin or native mobile development background
Familiarity with crypto and smart contracts concepts (not required — crypto-curious engineers welcome!)
