This is a rare opportunity to work at the frontier of blockchain engineering, building the smart contracts that power one of crypto's most critical pieces of financial infrastructure. You'll be deeply embedded in the design of trustless, on-chain systems that underpin Unichain, our DeFi-native Ethereum Layer 2, and the broader Uniswap ecosystem. What You'll Be Doing
Design, write, and ship production-grade smart contracts that extend the Uniswap Protocol's capabilities
Pioneer novel smart contract architectures and mechanism designs for decentralized trading and liquidity systems
Build peripheral infrastructure and tooling that integrates seamlessly with core protocol contracts
Collaborate closely with researchers and engineers to translate cutting-edge DeFi concepts into secure, gas-efficient code
Rigorously test and audit contract logic to ensure resilience against exploits in high-value, immutable deployments
Stay ahead of emerging trends in Ethereum Virtual Machine development and Web3 protocol design
What We're Looking For
4+ years of hands-on experience shipping Solidity contracts to production environments
Deep, practical knowledge of the Ethereum Virtual Machine and its execution model
Demonstrated track record deploying complex, high-stakes smart contract systems to Ethereum mainnet
Strong grasp of security best practices for immutable, adversarial on-chain environments
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven crypto team with minimal oversight
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional engineering and research teams
Bonus Points
Degree in mathematics, computer science, or a related quantitative field
Experience implementing advanced mathematical models directly in Solidity
Familiarity with AMM design, liquidity mechanics, or broader DeFi primitives
