About This Role
This is a rare opportunity to apply blockchain-grade smart contract development discipline to a major financial services platform. You'll work within the Product Vault capability, building the configurable business logic that powers modern banking—bringing the same rigor, security, and precision that defines DeFi and web3 smart contract engineering into a regulated enterprise environment.
What You'll Be Doing
Design, build, and test smart contracts within Thought Machine Vault Core, translating banking product requirements into executable, auditable code
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and product teams to deliver secure, decentralized-style configurable financial products
Write clean, maintainable smart contract logic following best practices from blockchain and distributed systems development
Troubleshoot and optimize contract performance, ensuring reliability at scale
Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and sprint ceremonies within an agile delivery framework
Document technical designs and contribute to evolving engineering standards for the platform
What We're Looking For
Proven hands-on experience with Thought Machine Vault Core or similar smart contract/configurable banking platforms
Strong software engineering background, ideally with exposure to blockchain, crypto, or distributed ledger technologies
Solid grasp of smart contract design patterns, testing methodologies, and secure coding practices
Experience working within regulated, enterprise-scale financial services environments
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, hybrid delivery model
Strong communication skills for engaging with both technical and business stakeholders
Bonus Points
Prior experience with Ethereum, Solidity, or other smart contract development frameworks
Familiarity with DeFi protocols, decentralized applications, or web3 infrastructure
Understanding of core banking domain concepts and product configuration
Experience operating within IR35 contract structures
