About This Role
We're searching for a sharp, detail-driven Smart Contract Developer to architect and refine Thought Machine Vault smart contracts that underpin sophisticated financial calculations. This role sits at the intersection of traditional banking infrastructure and modern decentralized engineering practices, offering genuine exposure to high-stakes, production-grade systems. You'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary Agile squad shaping how next-generation banking products come to life.
What You'll Be Doing
Designing, coding, and deploying smart contracts using Thought Machine Vault to encode complex financial and business logic
Writing clean, well-tested Python to support scalable, distributed ledger-based banking solutions
Translating intricate banking product requirements into robust, auditable smart contract logic
Applying test-driven development (TDD) and automated testing frameworks to guarantee contract reliability
Collaborating closely with cross-functional Agile teams to deliver iterative, high-quality releases
Maintaining CI/CD pipelines and version control best practices using Git to streamline deployment cycles
What We're Looking For
Strong hands-on software development experience, ideally in Python
Proven track record working with Thought Machine Vault Smart Contracts or similar smart contract frameworks
Demonstrated experience building and testing complex financial or business logic
Solid understanding of banking products, financial calculations, and distributed systems architecture
Familiarity with automated testing, TDD methodology, Git, CI/CD, and contemporary engineering workflows
Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and clear communication skills
Comfortable operating within multidisciplinary Agile squads in fast-paced environments
Bonus Points
Exposure to broader blockchain, web3, or DeFi ecosystems beyond core banking applications
Experience with distributed ledger technology outside of Thought Machine Vault
Background in fintech, crypto infrastructure, or decentralized finance platforms
Familiarity with smart contract security auditing or formal verification practices
