What You'll Be Doing
Identify and cultivate relationships with institutional clients exploring crypto, blockchain, and DeFi opportunities
Build a robust pipeline of prospects across exchanges, funds, and traditional financial institutions entering web3
Represent Wintermute at industry events, positioning the firm as a trusted partner in digital asset liquidity
Collaborate cross-functionally with trading, legal, and compliance teams to structure deals involving OTC and smart contract-based solutions
Stay ahead of market trends across blockchain networks, decentralized protocols, and emerging crypto trading infrastructure
Translate client needs into actionable strategies that strengthen Wintermute's institutional footprint
What We're Looking For
Proven track record in business development or institutional sales, ideally within crypto, fintech, or traditional capital markets
Strong understanding of blockchain technology, digital asset trading, and decentralized finance fundamentals
Exceptional relationship-building skills with a consultative, client-first approach
Comfort operating in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment typical of the web3 industry
Excellent communication skills, able to explain complex crypto concepts to varied stakeholders
Self-starter mentality with the drive to open doors and close high-value institutional partnerships
Bonus Points
Existing network of institutional contacts within crypto exchanges or asset management
Hands-on experience with OTC trading desks or liquidity provision in digital assets
Familiarity with smart contracts, DeFi protocols, or blockchain infrastructure projects
Background in traditional finance transitioning into distributed ledger technology
