Solutions Engineer
About This Role
Aave Labs operates at the intersection of decentralized finance and real-world financial access, powering the Aave Protocol into a trusted gateway between DeFi and traditional finance. As our Solutions Engineer, you'll be the technical bridge between our smart contracts infrastructure and the people building on top of it — translating complex distributed ledger systems into practical, working integrations. What You'll Be Doing
Serve as the primary technical point of contact for partners integrating with the Aave Protocol and its smart contracts
Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues spanning blockchain infrastructure, APIs, and decentralized applications
Build internal tools, documentation, and demos that accelerate partner onboarding across the DeFi ecosystem
Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product, and business development teams to surface partner needs
Monitor protocol performance and smart contract behavior to proactively identify integration risks
Translate technical concepts into clear, actionable guidance for both crypto-native and traditional finance partners
What We're Looking For
Strong understanding of blockchain architecture, smart contracts, and decentralized systems
Hands-on experience with Solidity, EVM-based chains, or similar web3 development environments
Prior experience in a solutions engineering, technical support, or developer relations role
Comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-growth crypto environment with shifting priorities
Excellent communication skills, able to explain distributed ledger concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Strong problem-solving instincts and a bias toward hands-on execution
Bonus Points
Direct experience with lending protocols, DeFi primitives, or onchain money markets
Familiarity with Aave, Compound, or similar decentralized finance platforms
Experience working with traditional finance institutions exploring crypto integrations
Contributions to open-source blockchain projects
