Tech Ops Engineer (Overnight Support EST)
What You'll Be Doing
Maintaining system uptime and integrity for customer systems, including building and architecting systems designed for reliability
Documenting technical designs and creating training materials and supporting documentation
Monitoring daily operations, including server hardware, software, and operating systems
Managing installations, upgrades, and maintenance across Linux deployments, virtual environments such as Proxmox, and containerized environments such as Docker
Collaborating closely with dev-ops teams to implement and scale automation of core tasks
Protecting data assets by upholding strict security policies and guidelines
Testing, troubleshooting, and modifying information systems to ensure effective operation
Working alongside TechOps, IT staff, IT Security, and System Administrators
What We're Looking For
Experience maintaining system uptime and building resilient infrastructure
Experience with Linux systems administration
Familiarity with virtual environments such as Proxmox
Familiarity with containerized environments such as Docker
Ability to collaborate with dev-ops teams on automation initiatives
Strong documentation skills, including technical designs and training materials
Understanding of data security policies and best practices
Ability to troubleshoot and modify information systems for effective operation
Fluency in English

Requirements
Basic requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field - Expert system administrator for Debian based distributions - Expert in computer networks, hardware, support, IT security, and tools - Experience with multiple hosting environments (cloud, bare metal, VPS) - Experience with various Databases and SQL (MySQL preferable) - Highly organized, self-starter and detail-oriented - Programming and scripting skills (Python, Bash, Ansible) - Strong and effective communication skills - Strong Linux, Proxmox, pfSense experience. Preferred skills & experience: - Passionate about the blockchain and Crypto space - Experience with mission critical highly scalable systems
