Staff/Senior Product Manager, Billing (Relocate to Singapore)
About This Role
Airwallex is building the AI-native financial operating system for the real-time economy, and billing is a critical pillar of that mission. This role puts you at the intersection of fintech, automation, and distributed infrastructure, shaping how businesses invoice, reconcile, and manage recurring revenue at global scale. You'll have the autonomy of a founder with the resources of a company operating across 85+ licenses and 27 offices worldwide.
What You'll Be Doing
Own the end-to-end product strategy for payments and billing — from vision through execution — spanning cross-border settlements, FX, reconciliation, invoicing, and subscription billing
Design and ship billing infrastructure that supports recurring payments, automated reconciliation, and compliance across distributed, multi-jurisdictional markets
Apply AI/ML to modernize billing workflows, including automated invoice categorization, fraud detection, churn prediction, and personalized billing experiences
Partner cross-functionally with engineering, design, data science, and commercial teams to build scalable financial products ready for exponential transaction growth
Stay ahead of the competitive fintech and payments landscape, translating market insight and emerging technology trends into actionable product bets
Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers, building a culture of rapid experimentation and responsible innovation in next-gen payments
What We're Looking For
5-10 years in Product Management with direct exposure to payments, billing, invoicing, or financial services
Demonstrated success launching and scaling products within global payments platforms, billing systems, or digital wallet ecosystems
Hands-on experience with subscription billing, automated reconciliation, and recurring payment infrastructure
Strong strategic thinking balanced with a bias toward fast, pragmatic execution
Comfort operating in ambiguous, high-growth environments with distributed, cross-border teams
Excellent communication skills to align technical and non-technical stakeholders around a shared roadmap
Bonus Points
Prior experience with blockchain-based payment rails, smart contracts, or decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols
Familiarity with crypto-native billing models, stablecoin settlements, or web3 subscription tooling
Background in applying machine learning to financial automation and fraud prevention
Exposure to multi-currency, multi-region compliance frameworks
